Texans, Are you ready for a freeze?

As you prepare for a freeze, you need [these faucet covers]. 

We’re in South Texas and we are not prepared for freezes usually, but a couple of years ago I bought these faucet covers and they are fantastic. They are well insulated you just fit them over the faucet like it’s a sock, and then it’s got these little Velcro straps, you just Velcro it around — so easy.  

And don’t forget to order these really tall ones for those [faucets] hat you have sticking up out of the yard in the middle of the backyard. If you have a garden, anything like that, don’t forget these.  

And if you have a sprinkler system, search Amazon for backflow preventer cover, because this is what everybody forgets to do. They forget to wrap the back flow preventer, of their sprinkler system. It’s got a pipe that comes out of the ground, and you just have to set this over and it velcroes down at the bottom.  

If I had a dollar for every time a freeze comes through…A backflow preventer is the one problem that people have. It’s always forgotten! 

 So these are all off Amazon! Just use them every single year instead of those. Little foam ones that you have to sit there and hook them on…they’re awful.
